It’s time to update this again! The why of Kimchee and Catnip is the two are ingredients for a better life. The kimchee is for me and the catnip for the cats. They stand in for all the things that make life better, things that make a list far to long for a blog name. The catnip is fairly straightforward. I love cats and have cats and they love catnip. I came to love kimchee during a two year residence in Korea that changed me in ways I am even now discovering.
I started this blog as a bit of therapy when I was going through some tough times. It started very slowly. I was in terrible shape medically and also in state of mind. I managed to improve my health and discovered I love blogging and love the blogging world. Our problems are not over but the cats have kept me going. I promised them a forever home and I have done everything I can to keep my promise. Thanks to the generosity of my favorite aunt, who I miss talking to every week, the legacy she left was enough for me to buy our rental house. It needs a ton of DIY and contractor work but as of June 2018 we have our forever home.
Several of the cats you see here have gone on. First was little Mini and then soon after Mosby. Tony lived another two and a half years after his friend Mosby. Shinki was next and then this January I lost my special girl, my first love, Simba.
I started this blog on a theme which has been retired. Other than the blog posts page it’s hard to update. I started a regular dot com page with other ideas but now I am redoing it to expand the things this blog touches on. I hope people will enjoy both, but origins are important and I began here.

I count 11 cats? Each unique too I bet.I’ve found my eagles each have unique personalities! So I suspect every animal on the earth must be the unique?
