Dear Diary – My birthday

My birthday fell oIn a Sunday. The only birthday greeting I got was from the Google doodle bot  on the Chrome search page. What does that say? I guess I never put my birthday in my Facebook profile. I know I never mentioned it in my blog. It was dark and rainy all day. I had no money to go out. In fact I ate nutritionally bad food to use up what I have and save money.

For my birthday treat I ate the chocolate covered pretzels that accidentally didn’t get packed in the gift basket at Christmas and made myself a bowl of popcorn with lots of butter. For breakfast I took a rock hard stale biscuit from one of the takeaway meals Nita brought to the store and soaked it in water and the grease left over from cooking Frank’s ground pork. Then I heated it, cooked it down until the biscuit was soft, added some pork and heavy cream and voila! It produced a totally unhealthy but very delicious biscuit in cream gravy.

I started my gong. I set up a payment to Medicare through Suntrust. I tried to set up Anthem but it won’t work with a P.O. box address. They also use a third party payer to pay on line and you leave their site with a long paragraph saying they aren’t responsible for what happens with them. I couldn’t get into Humana either I didn’t have the stupid card handy. What I did accomplish was to join AARP at a sale discount in hope of changing insurance. I was able to put it on Paypal Credit and auto-renew so that’s good.-

I started the gong organization with cleaning up paper work. I collected all paper from the playroom and brought it down and  cleared the folding table. I sorted and purged two boxes of papers and organized the scrap and printing paper. It was on the list to reorganize the files in the file boxes but I didn’t finish that. I did bring them out and stack the filing.I just have to file the loose papers and label the boxes and prin up contents pages.

I set up a spreadsheet for listing online accounts and paper files, with columns for email, logins, account numbers  and other pertinent information. Them i will print them and delete the files. I moved more things out of the back bedroom and worked on tidying the front bedroom. I packed up more of the Christmas things and stated clearing the steps to the playroom, I cleared out the dining room and worked on cleaning the litter boxes. I washed dishes and bailed the sink to flush the toilet multiple times.

I kept track of my time for each task and cleared the white board and started listing gong objectives. I worked on blog posts for a little bit and deleted some emails.I fed the cats late, closer to seven and started feeling tired. But I did managed to work on cooking the fish some more and starting some leek and potato soup which smelled good while cooking.

Happy Birthday, Angela1313! Sounds like my birthdays here, full of things to do. No slowdown for the occasion. The doodlebot is disconcerting, though. The online pirates of privacy at work.
