My regular post will be a bit delayed. Sunday night my wonderful cat Tony was fine. Monday morning he didn’t want his kibble. By Tuesday morning he was at the vet and by Thursday evening he was in critical condition at the emergency/specialist vet practice. A great vet there got him stabilized and I brought him back home until his regular vet could see him. He passed over the Rainbow bridge Friday afternoon after making the rounds in the house and spending the rest of the day of laying on his favorite blanket with me, listening to the birds through the open window, being petted and held, purring and dozing. All the vets felt a mass in his liver and by Wednesday night you could see the jaundice. Tumors thrive on blood, especially cancerous ones and the liver is full of it, so I am 99% sure that was the problem. I will miss him and do a better post when tears don’t keep me from making a million typos.

Sorry – all round

Thank you Herman. It all happened so fast I think I am still in shock. I rescued him from a bad situation and we had eight wonderful years.

Im really sorry to hear this. 😦
Seems like many cats and dogs are gettting tumors now..
I wonder of it’s the food or what?
I know you will miss your baby. 😦

I rescued Tony and a beautiful Siamese I named Mosby together from a bad situation. Mosby developed cancer in his jaw and I lost him two years ago. I think it is all the poisons in our environment, dogs and cats are smaller than we are, it doesn’t take so much to make them sick. Thanks for your thoughts.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. Did they do anything different in what they usually do? I am sorry to ask that. I just don’t know what to look for?
I had some kind of growth removed from our tabby. She acts like she has some kind of seizure sometimes. They never said what It was….
And my dog Zak has a bump on his arm. They said not to worry unless it got bigger…I worry still. They say most dogs cancers begin on the arm.
I don’t know what I would do if that happened. They are the only things that keep me going.
I hope things will get better for you. I know it Is a great shock. 😦

You have such a good heart, thanks. I was lucky, the surgeon at the specialist clinic I took Mosby to sat down and spent an hour with me talking about options and telling me why he didn’t want to operate. When I stopped at the desk to pay, he told the girl no charge. He taught me a lot of very good information and it helped me decide how to go with Tony. I can tell you cancer moves a lot slower in dogs than cats most of the time and dogs do better with surgery and chemo. Cats don’t tolerate chemo.Even more reason not to leave without your dog. You have my prayers.

It is really sad when animals get ill like this.
And most is caused by man.
    Foods, enviroment , many things.
I do know if they do a biopsy, ( animals.or humans ) it can spread that way too once it has been punctured.
Thank you for the information. I hope in time things will get better.
I wrote a piece about the rainbow bridge many talk about. I was thinking about you and others that have recently lost their furbabies.
    Wishing you well….prayers. xoxo
